3. Open the instrument door, and set up the reagent cartridge and consumables
according to the instructions shown on the display.
For details, refer to the package insert of the reagent and consumables you are using.
4. Close the door and press the
“START” key to start the protocol run.
5. After the protocol run has finished, remove the elution tubes, the used reagent
cartridges and the plastic consumables.
Discard the used reagent cartridge and plastic consumables according to
your local safety regulations.
6. The magLEAD 12gC will automatically generate a report file, and send it to the PC.
Note
For generating and sending a report to the PC, confirm that the serial port has been
set correctly. Refer to the section 9.3.3.
7. After the protocol run, you may choose to perform an optional UV decontamination
run.
If the
“STOP” key is pressed during a run, the protocol will stop and
provide the option to continue or to abort the run. If you select to abort
the run, the protocol cannot be resumed. (Refer to Chapter 14.2
for further details.)
Do not open the door when starting a run and during a protocol run.
If the door is not closed correctly, the door locking mechanism will not function
correctly, and a run cannot be started.

After confirming that the protocol run has been fully completed, open the door to
remove the Elution tubes, the Tip/Tube Rack, and the Reagent Cartridge Rack.

Discard the used reagent cartridge and plastic consumables according to your local
safety regulations.
Caution
