Adjustment Procedure
1. From the Maintenance Mode, Enter U339. Press the start key.
2. Select “ON” or “OFF”. Default setting: “OFF”

The drum heater will be turned “ON” when the main switch is turned OFF.
The drum heater will be “OFF” when the main switch is turned OFF.
3. Press the start key to enter the setting.
4. Press the stop key to exit the mode.
U092 (Scanner Unit Auto Adjustment)
Adjusting the main scanning direction magnification (U065) will be eliminated from U092 (Scanner Unit
Auto Adjustment).
As a result of this change, the main scanning direction magnification will have to be adjusted separately
using U065 (Adjusting the scanner magnification).

1. Adjusting the scanner center line (U067)
2. Adjusting the scanner magnification in the main scanning direction (U065) (ELIMINATED)
3. Adjusting the scanner magnification in the auxiliary direction (U065)
4. Adjusting the scanner lead edge registration timing (U066)
5. Adjusting margins for reading an original on the contact glass (U403)
U344 (Setting the preheat/energy saver mode)
1. A New setting, "Top Runner", has been added for Japan Specification.
2. From the Maintenance Mode, Enter U344. Select the Setting Mode.

Setting Silent Mode
Set the preheat/energy saver control mode.
Set the Polygon Motor ON/OFF in the preheat/energy saver
mode.
When the control mode is set to “Instant Ready” or "Top
Runner" compliance, the silent mode setting will not display.
When “Instant Ready” is selected, the Silent Mode will default
to “OFF”. When “Top Runner” is selected, the Silent Mode
will default to “ON”.
