U058 (Setting the paper deck feed timing data)
Maintenance Mode U058 will set the ON/OFF timing of the paper feed conveying clutch for the large
capacity paper Tray (LCT).
Purpose:
Maintenance Mode U058 has been added to compensate for the quality of paper being used. An
adjustment can be made if a paper jam or multiple paper feed occurs.
Adjustment Procedure
1. From the Maintenance Mode, Enter U058. Press the start key to display the selections shown in the
table below.
2. Select the item to be adjusted from the display.

The conveying clutch 1 (LPDPFCL1) “ON”
timing when paper is fed from the right side of
the large paper tray.

the large paper tray or during the re-try paper
feed.
Timing between the paper pass sensor 1
(LPDPPSENS1) “ON” and the conveying
clutch (LPDCCL) “OFF”.

3. Adjust the setting using the Up/Down key from the display.
4. Press the start key to enter the setting value.
5. Press the stop key to exit the mode.
U339 (Setting the heater ON or OFF)
Maintenance Mode U339 will allow the drum heater to be set “ON” or “OFF” when the main switch is turned
OFF.
Purpose
A condensation problem on the drum may be prevented if the drum heater is set to an “ON” condition.
Precaution: Be sure that the Main Switch Junction Wiring is connected.
