7H Flow disruption water circuit
Water flow is too low or there is none at all, required minimum water flow (
t
12 l/min). Check the
following items:
• All stop valves of the water circuit must be completely open.
• Optional water filters must not be contaminated.
• System must run within its operating parameters (see chapter 8 "Technical data").
• System must be completely evacuated.
• Check the water pressure at the pressure gauge (<0.3 bar).
• External static pressure must correspond to the characteristic line in chapter 8
"Technical data".
A higher pressure indicates internal resistance in the water circuit.
• Expansion tank is defective.
• If this fault occurs during defrost operation in the operating mode room heating or hot water
supply: With optional backup heater: check its power supply and fuses.
• In the switch cabinets of HPSU compact, check the pump fuse (FU1) and circuit board
fuse (F1).

Outlet water temperature in HPSU
compact >65 °C
Discharge water temperature in HPSU compact is too high (>65 °C).
– Temperature sensor discharge water temperature provides incorrect values.
(Position of components see chapter 2 "Product description"), or
– With optional backup heater: STL of backup heater (BUH) triggered.
A1 PCB A1P HPSU compact Malfunction message. Contact ROTEX service technician.

Optional: STL booster heater (BOH) STL in the booster heater (BOH) triggered: Check and unlock position of STL.
Optional: STB backup heater (BOH) STL in the backup heater (BUH) triggered: Check and unlock position of STL.
Terminals 13/14 not bridged on "X2M"t
If the installation is being run without a room thermostat or radio room thermostat, the terminal
strip "X2M" on connection board XR1P must be bridged (bridge STL-response and manual is
included in the scope of delivery of the room thermostat).
C4 Temperature sensor heat exchanger
Temperature sensor heat exchanger of HPSU compact s faulty (position of components,
see chapter 2 "Product description").
E1 PCB external heat pump device (RRLQ) Malfunction message. Contact ROTEX service technician.
E3 Pressure in refrigerant system
Pressure in refrigerant system is too high. System must run within its operating parameters
(see chapter 8 "Technical data").

Low pressure sensor external heat pump
device (RRLQ) Low pressure sensor in external heat pump unit (RRLQ) activated. Check system for loss of
refrigerant and if necessary check low pressure sensor (short circuit).

Overload protection refrigerant
compressor Overload protection refrigerant compressor triggered. System must run within its operating
parameters (see chapter 8 "Technical data").

Ventilator block external heat pump unit
(RRLQ) A Ventilator in the external heat pump device (RRLQ) is blocked. Check fan for dirt affecting it,
the fan may be defective.
E9 Electronic expansion valve The electronic expansion valve in the external heat pump unit (RRLQ) is faulty.

Temperature in internal hot water tank
is too high
The temperature sensor in the hot water tank delivers a temperature value >89 °C.
Check whether the temperature sensor displays the correct value.
When an optional booster heater (BOH) is installed, check its contactor for a short circuit.

Discharge temperature on heat exchanger
of the external heat pump unit (RRLQ) is
too high The discharge temperature at the heat exchanger of the external heat pump unit (RRHQ) is getting
too high due to a blockage. Remove possible contamination on the heat exchanger. If the error
message persists, contact a ROTEX service technician.
