3.3.8 Program clock and switching time programme
The program clock integrated in the main control unit (HPR1) enables convenient control of operating statuses: these can be set
by the user at a certain time and for a certain duration.
The program clock cannot change between the operating modes room cooling
and room heating . This setting must be
made manually by the user.
During operation with manual setting by the user, if the program clock is also switched on, the system is also controlled by the
program clock. The program clock always only works according to the most recent user parameters set until new parameters are
set. This means that a setting made manually by the user can be cancelled by the program clock.
The program clock is switched on and off using the
key. Saved time switching programs can be changed or deleted at any
time. To have a better overview, we recommend making a record of the programmed switching times and keeping this in a safe
place.
If an additional heater (such as a booster heater (BOH) and/or backup heater (BUH)) is installed, these are controlled fully-
automatically by the main control unit (HPR1) integrated in the HPSU compact. The switching limits and switching time periods
are defined in the parameter settings. If the booster heater (BOH) is switched on, in the display of the main control unit (HPR1)
the icon
appears.
Reading and programming switching times for room cooling
/ room heating
The user can program 5 switching times per day for heating operation and 5 switching times for cooling operation
.
However, since the program clock cannot change automatically between the operating modes room cooling
and room heating,
the control system uses the temperature values of the current time switching program of the operating mode currently selected.
When programming, you should therefore ensure that the user adopts the same temperature settings for both operating
modes, where applicable, and depending on the time of year, changes between the operating modes room cooling and room
heating. When programming, always base your values on the standard values in the parameters and at the programmed switching
times of the other operating modes to avoid unfavourable operating conditions.
In the main control unit of the HPSU compact no automatic switch time programs have been factory set.
However, the user can program and activate the integrated program clock and therefore control the following
functions fully automatically:
– Room heating and room cooling:
5 timed operations per day
.
– Water heating:
5 timed operations
that are
repeated daily
.
– Low-noise operation:
5 timed operations
that are
repeated daily
.
– Optional booster heater (BOH):
5 timed operations
that are
repeated daily
.
CAUTION!
If the booster heater (BOH) and the backup heater (BUH) is used
when the storage tank is not completely
full
this can lead to a reduction in heating efficiency or an STL shutdown and may cause an electrical fault.
• Only operate booster heater (BOH) and backup heater (BUH) when storage tank is completely full.
