BA ROTEX HPSU compact 2 - 04/2011
Heating does not warm up
Room heating standby switched off (e.g. time program
is in the economy phase, outside temperature is too
high, parameters for backup heater (BUH) are set
incorrectly, requirement for hot water is active).
• Check the operating mode setting.
• Check the request parameters.
• Check the setting of time a weekday in the control system.
Refrigerant compressor is not working.
• With optional backup heater:
Check that the backup heater (BUH) is heating the water
temperature to at least 15 °C (with a low water temperature,
the system uses the backup heater (BUH) first to attain the
minimum water temperature). If applicable, check the power
supply, thermal protection and overheating fuse for the backup
heater (BUH).
• Have the system checked by a service engineer.
System is in the operating mode "Room cooling".
• Reset operating mode to "Room heating".
Settings for off-peak mains connection do not
correspond to settings for electrical connections.
• If [D-01]=1 or 2, a special cabling must be implemented
(see installation manual for HPSU compact).
Other configurations are also possible. However, these must
match the type of off-peak mains connection.
The energy supply company has sent the off-peak
rate signal.
• Wait for the repeat off-peak rate signal which reactivates the
power supply.
Heating does not warm up
enough
Water flow too low.
• Check that all stop valves of the water circuit are completely
open.
Target value range is too low.
• Increase parameter value [9-00].
Weather-dependent set value regulation active.
• Check settings of the operating mode "Weather-dependent set
value regulation".
Optional: Backup heater (BUH) not switched on.
• With optional backup heater:
– Check mains supply of the backup heater (BUH).
– Thermal contactor on backup heater (BUH) was triggered.
– Overheat fuse on backup heater (BUH) defective.
– Check parameter values [4-XX].
Water volume in system too low.
• Check water volume and associated primary pressure in
expansion container, reconfigure primary pressure (see chapter 2
"Product description")
Heating does not warm up
enough
Hot water supply is taking too much of the output of
the heat pump.
• Check parameter settings [5-XX]:
– Increase "Bivalence temperature" [5-01] to activate operation of
the backup heater (BUH) at a higher outside temperature.
– "Status Priority room heating" [5-02] must be activated.
– Increase "Priority temperature of the room heating" [5-03] to
activate operation of the additional heating at a higher outside
temperature.
Hot water does not
warm up
How water supply switched off (e.g. time program
is in the economy phase, parameters for hot water
supply have been set incorrectly).
• Check the operating mode setting.
• Check the request parameters.
