FA ROTEX HPSU compact 308 - 02/2012
2.2
Installation
• Remove packing and dispose of it in an environment-friendly manner.
• Install the HPSU compact at the installation site.
– Recommended clearances (fig. 2-4):
From the wall (s1):
200 mm
To the ceiling (X):
1200 mm.
– Transport the HPSU compact carefully, using the handles provided on it.
– When setting up the unit in a cabinet, behind panels or in other restricted conditions, sufficient ventilation
(e.g., using ventilation gratings) must be ensured.
Optional backup heater (BUH):
If the heat output of the HPSU compact is insufficient, the optional backup heater (BUH) can provide heating
power to heat the heating circuit. Due to its intelligent storage technology, the backup heater (BUH) can also be
used for the supporting heating of the readiness zone (hot water) (booster function).
If a backup heater is installed, its installation into the HPSU compact must take place before final setup and
filling.
A separate manual, including, among other things, i instructions for installation and operation is attached to this
component (
Pay attention to the tightening torque, see chapter 6.3 "Tightening torque").

Hydraulic connection
CAUTION!
If the HPSU compact is connected to a heating system with
steel pipes
,
radiators
or non-diffusion-proof
floor heating pipes, slurry and swarf could enter the hot water storage tank and cause
blockages
, local
overheating
or
corrosion
.
• Ensure that the volume up to the heating circuit or up to the overflow valve is at least 10 L. This results,
for example, from a total line length VA Ø 32 of 24 m or Cu Ø 28 of 20.4 m.
• Flush the feed pipes before filling the heat exchanger.
• Rinse out the heat distribution network (in the existing heating system).
• Install dirt filter in the heating return line (e. g.
SFR 28
15 60 11
).
