4. PREPARATION FOR A LONG PERIOD OF INACTIVITY AND PRE-SEASON
CHECKS
Prepare for a long period of inactivity
If you plan not to use the device for a long period of time, take the following measures:
1. Clean the indoor unit and filters.
2. Run the fan for about half a day to dry the inside of the device.
3. Turn off the air conditioner and disconnect from the power supply.
4. Remove the batteries from the wireless remote control.
The outdoor unit requires periodic inspection and cleaning. Do not do this yourself. Contact the seller or
service.
Pre-season control
• Check that the cables are not damaged and that they are properly connected.
• Clean the indoor unit and filters.
• Check that the filters have been mounted.
• After a long period of non-use of the device, check whether the air inlet and outlet are obstructed.
ATTENTION
• When removing the air filter, do not touch the metal parts of the device. Sharp edges can cause cuts.
• Do not use water to clean the inside of the air conditioner. Water can destroy the insulating layer
leading to an electric shock.
• Before cleaning the device, check that it has been disconnected from the power supply and that the
circuit breaker is in the “off” position.
• Do not clean the filter with water hotter than 40°C/104°F. Shake the water off the filter and then place it
in a dry, shaded place until it is dry. Do not expose the filter to direct sunlight as it may shrink.
