Important safety information
This display has been tested for conformance to safety regulations and requirements, and has been certified
for international use. Like any electronic device, however, the display should be used with care. To protect
yourself from possible injury and to minimize the risk of damage to the display, read and follow these safety
instructions.
2.1. General Guidelines
•
Read all of these instructions.
•
Save these instructions for later use.
•
Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the display.
•
Except as explained elsewhere in this manual, do not attempt to service the display yourself.
Opening or removing covers might expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks. Refer all
servicing in marked compartments to service personnel.
•
If for any reason the cabinet cover needs to be removed, then the instructions given in this
manual must be closely followed.
2.2. Installation Restrictions
•
Do not use the opened display near water.
•
Do not place the display on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The display might fall and be
seriously damaged.
•
Do not block or cover the ventilation slots on the cover or cabinet of the display. Air must be
allowed to circulate through these slots in order to ensure that the display operates properly and
does not overheat.
•
Install the display near an electrical outlet for ease of access. Use the plug on the power cord as
the power disconnect device for the display. When your display is switched off, be aware that it
still carries full line voltage, and consumes some electrical energy. To completely remove all
voltages from the display and the auxiliary outlet, you must unplug the power cable from the wall
outlet.
•
Do not place the display near or over a radiator or heat register or in direct sunlight. Place the
display in a small enclosure only if providing proper ventilation.
