9.8.  Setup Guide 

The  PHOENIX  BIOS  Setup  Utility  changes  system  behavior  by  modifying  the  BIOS  configuration.  The  setup 

program uses a number of menus to make changes and turn features on or off.  

Whenever  you  contact  technical  support  about  BIOS  issues,  providing  a  BIOS  version 
<ePPMR???> is espe- cially helpful.  

 

9.8.1. 

Start Phoenix BIOS Setup Utility 

To start the PHOENIX BIOS Setup Utility, press <

F2

> when the following string appears during bootup.   

 

The Main Menu then appears with the serial number. The board’s serial number has valuable 

information for technical support.

General Informaiton 

The 

Setup Screen

 is composed of several sections:  

 

 

 

Menu 

Bar  

The menu bar at the top of the window lists different menus. Use the left/right arrow keys to make a selection.  

Legend Bar  

Use the keys listed in the legend bar on the bottom to make your selections or exit the current menu.  

 

Press <F2> to enter Setup
