FED-6943 Overview
The FED-6943 series use two bi-directional SFP transceivers that operate on different transmit
(Tx) and receive (Rx) wavelengths. Each SFP uses a single fiber for bi-directional signals and
contain an internal WDM splitter. This gives you six links (two fiber and four RJ-45) plus the
Internal Link interface. The FED-6943 series requires the
8320AR-056 Full Rear Module which
includes one LC duplex and four RJ-45 connectors.
To make use of the dual fiber bi-directional connection, the cards must be used together in pairs
based on their WDM, ensuring to pair an -A model with a -B model (e.g. pair an FED-6943-20A
with an FED-6943-20B). Alternatively, you could use one FED-6943 series card connected to
two FES-6941 series cards of the same WDM. Refer to
Table 5.1 for details.
