Internet – Dynamic IP
Dynamic IP:
Dynamic IP addressing assigns a different IP address each time a
device connects to an ISP service provider. The service is most commonly used
by ISP cable providers.
•
Host name:
Assign a name for the internet connection type. This field can be
blank.

MAC address:
Enter the MAC address of the devices’ network interface card
(NIC) in the MAC address field and click
Clone MAC
.
Note:
Some ISP providers require registering the MAC address of the
network interface card (NIC) connected directly to the cable or DSL modem.
Clone MAC masks the router's MAC address with the MAC address of the
device’s NIC.
DNS Server:
The DNS server translates a domain or website name into a
uniform resource locator (URL), or Internet address. There are two options to
choose from: From ISP or User-Defined. Select From ISP to retrieve the DNS
address value from the ISP; select User-Defined to assign a custom DNS server
address.
Click
Apply
to save the settings or
Cancel
to discard the changes.
