Cleaning and maintenance
Attention: Hazard of injury!
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse motor unit, power cord and plug in water or
clean them under running water!
Important notes:
!
The freezer bowl and both casing parts are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher!
!
The freezer bowl has to be completely dry before it can be placed in the freezer again!
!
Clean the freezer bowl and the stirrer after each use.
!
Please make sure that the appliance is in a hygienically clean state, especially when you prepare ice
cream made from untreated milk or with raw eggs.
• Remove the motor unit from the upper part of the casing. If necessary, clean it with a moist cloth and
wipe it dry.
• Clean casing parts, stirrer and other accessories in hot rinsing water. The ice cream scoop has to be
disassembled for thorough cleaning.
• Clean the freezer bowl only with hand-hot water (not warmer than 40 °C) and some dishwashing
detergent. Wipe it dry afterwards.
• Do not use any metal objects, abrasives or solvents!
• Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning!
• To disassemble the appliance completely, remove the motor unit by using the unlocking mechanism
on the back side and lift it up.
7.) Switch off completely
• Always pull the mains plug for a complete switch off and a safe storage.
Error
Cause and troubleshooting
Appliance has no function,
cannot be switched on
• Check if the power cord is damaged. Don´t use the appliance if the cord
is damaged!
• Check if the plug is connected properly. Check the mains outlet by
connecting a different appliance for testing.
No satisfying result
• Check if the freezer bowl is correctly frozen. It has to be frozen in a
4-star freezing compartment
with -18 °C
for at least 12 hours.
• Observe the temperature of the ice-cream mixture. It mustn´t exceed
2 – 4 °C. If possible store the ingredients in the refrigerator and/or chill
the prepared mixture.
• Pre-chilling the ice-cream mixture in the freezer to a temperature just
below 0 °C can reduce the preparation time considerably.
• Observe the quantities, defined in the recipe and the maximum filling
quantity.
