doing.
You can work better and safer in the specified power range with the suit-
able power tool.
b) Do not use a power tool with a defective switch.
A power tool which cannot
be switched on and off is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Pull the plug out of the socket and/or remove the battery before setting the
tool, changing accessories or putting tool away.
This safety precaution
prevents unintentional starting of the power tool.
d) Keep power tools out of reach of children when not in use. Do not allow
persons to use the tool who are not familiar with it or have not read these
instructions.
Power tools are dangerous when used by inexperienced persons.
e) Handle the power tool with care. Check that the moving parts are working
perfectly and do not jam, that no parts are broken or damaged and that the
function of the power tool is not impaired. Have damaged parts repaired
by qualified technical personnel or an authorised ROLLER service shop
before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges jam less and are easier to control.
g) Use power tools, accessories and insert tools etc. according to these
instructions. Take the working conditions and activity being performed into
consideration.
The use of power tools for purposes for which they are not
intended can lead to dangerous situations. All unauthorised modifications to the
electrical device are prohibited for safety reasons.
5) Use and handling of cordless tools
a) Only charge the batteries in chargers recommended by the manufacturer.
A charger designed for a certain battery type can cause a fire when it is used
with other batteries.
b) Only use the specified batteries in the power tools.
The use of other batteries
can lead to injury and fire.
c) Keep unused batteries away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws
or other small metal objects which could cause bridging of the contacts.
A short circuit between the battery contacts can cause burns or fire.
d) Incorrect use can lead to leakage of liquid from the battery. Avoid contact
with this. Wash off with water in case of accidental contact. Consult a doctor
if you get the liquid in your eyes.
Leaking battery fluid can cause irritation to
the skin or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool repaired only by qualified technical personnel and
only with genuine spare parts.
This ensures that the safety of the tool is main-
tained.
WARNING
Specific Safety Instructions
● Use personal safety equipment (e.g. goggles).
● Avoid unnatural postures, and do not lean too far forward.
● Before changing the pressing or expanding tools, pull the mains plug or take out
the battery!
● The drive units develop a very high pressing force. For that reason, be particularly
careful. Keep all other persons away from the working area during working.
● Hold the drive units only by the housing grip (6) and the pistol grip (9) during
operation. Keep your hands away from moving parts (pressing area, expanding
area)!
● Never operate radial presses when the tongs shank (2) is not locked. Risk of
fracture!
● Always position radial presses with pressing tong, pressing tong Mini or pressing
ring on the press fitting at a right angle to the pipe axis. Never position it askew.
● Do not start radial presses without pressing tong, pressing tong Mini or pressing
ring inserted. Do not start the pressing operation except to make a press joint.
Unless counter pressure is applied by the press fitting, the drive unit or pressing
tongs, pressing tongs Mini will be needlessly stressed.
● Before using pressing tongs, pressing tongs Mini or pressing rings from other
manufacturers, check that they are suitable for the drive unit. Read and observe
the instruction manuals of the pressing tong or pressing ring manufacturers.
● Only operate axial presses with pressing heads fully inserted. Risk of fracture!
● Always position axial presses with the pressing tongs on the compression sleeve
fitting at right angles to the pipe axis. Never position it askew.
● Screw expanding heads as far as they will go onto the expander.
● Do not attempt to repair damaged pressing tongs, pressing tongs Mini, adapter
tongs, pressing rings, pressing heads or expanding heads. Risk of fracture!
● Consult and comply with the instructions for installation and fitting of the system’s
manufacturers.
Intended use
