How to identify an instrument in an instrument set
► To identify the instrument in an instrument set, use one of the device identification
functions:
a) Select "SGMA-GUI > Setup > Instruments > Available Instruments > Instrument
> Edit > Edit Instrument" and trigger "Device Identify"
b) Select "SGMA-GUI > Instrument Name > Setup > Remote > Remote Chan-
nels" and trigger "Device Identify"
The green [LAN] LED on the front panel of the instrument blinks.

Managing Messages in the Info Dialog
How to get additional information on the message
► In the "Info" dialog, click a message to select it.
In the lower section of the dialog, additional information on the highlighted mes-
sage is displayed.
How to display all messages
► In the "Info" dialog, click the "History" button.
A history of all messages that have occurred since the R&S
SGMA-GUI software
was started is listed in the upper dialog pane. The most recent message is dis-
played first.
How to delete an error message
► In the "Info" dialog, select the highlighted message and click the "Delete" button.
Tip:
This button is available only when the history of the messages is displayed.
The highlighted message is cleared.
How to delete all error messages
► In the "Info" dialog, click the "Delete All" button.
Tip:
This button is available only when the history of the messages is displayed.
All messages are cleared.
How to delete all brief messages
► In the "Info" dialog, click the "Del. volatile" button.
