OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1)
First switch all the connected music-sources on (like CD-players, recordplayers, etc.). Then
switch the power button (I) to turn the miXboX power supply on. The power indicators (1) will
light up and a few seconds later the mixing panel will be in operation, ready state. In this stage
you can turn on the power amplifiers.
2)
Connect the headphones to phones output (6).
3)
Choose with input switch (7) the right source.
4)
Select with the PFL-select knob (4) the desired source, channel 1 or 2. Then you get the
stereo signal on the headphones, when you turn the phones volume open (5). Put the monitor
select switch (3) on input, then the input signal of channel 1 will appear on the left VU-meter
and the signal of channel 2 on the right VU-meter. This is very usefull for comparing the level
of these both signals. All these operations have no influence on the outputsignal! Adjust with
the level control (8) the input signal so that the yellow indicators of the level meters (2) light up
sometimes. Adjust if necessary the quality of the sound with the equalizer (9).
LOOK OUT : - The equalizer at each input is used to adjust the different sound between the
sources. To correct the acoustic of the room it is best to use an external
equalizer.
5)
Slide up the fader (10) of the choosen channel, 1 or 2.
6)
Adjust with the master (14) the volume.
7)
When both channel-faders are up, you can easily fade between the two input-channels with
the crossfader (15). With the flash-button (16) it is easy to add the input signal of the channel
that is not selected by the crossfader. With crossfader ON/OFF switch (17) it is easy to disable
the crossfader.
8)
To change the source, repeat point 3) to 5).
9)
To add a microphone signal, connect the mike to the MIC input (F). Turn the level control (11)
to zero, put on the mic switch (13) and adjust with the level button (11) the volume of the
microphone. Adjust with the equalizer (12) the sound of the mic.
10)
If you like to record the mixed signal, you can simply do this by connecting a recorder to the
auxiliary connectors (G).
11)
To view the mixed signal, you must put the monitor mode switch (3) on mix. Then the mixed
signal will appear on the VU-meters.
