Install and Operate the Junction Boxes

Chapter 4

Connect to an Ethernet Network

First generation MobileView 2711T terminals are equipped with an Ethernet
interface that supports TCP/IP protocol at 10/100 Mbps for half/full-duplex
communication.

The Ethernet connector at X3 on the IP20 junction box provides a connection to
an Ethernet network. The connector uses an 8-pin, RJ45 modular jack
connector. Pinouts are as follows.

The MobileView IP65
Junction Box

There are two IP65 junction boxes that work with second generation
MobileView terminals and 22-pin connection cables. 2711T-JBIP65DC1 is the
IP65 junction box with cord grips that must be wired by the customer.
2711T-JBIP65DM1 is the IP65 junction box with M12 On-Machine
connections that is factory-wired.

This section provides information on the following topics.

ATTENTION:

Under high noise situations, the Ethernet network can have packet

loss of <10% at 100Mbps. By design, Ethernet communication resends packets,
so there is no data loss but there is a possible reduction in communication speed.
