Robotiq Wrist Camera Vision System for Universal Robots

3.6.3 Uninstall and Update

 Follow these steps in order to properly uninstall the Wrist Camera's software - including the Vision server and the URCap package - before uninstalling
completely or updating : 

1. Uninstall the Vision server

On a blank USB stick, add the following file : 

urmagic_uninstall.sh

From a 

, go in the 

 tab. Choose 

 and go in the 

 tab.

Tap 

 to stop the Vision server. 

Stop camera

With the controller on, insert the USB stick containing the urmagic file on the UR teach. Automatic uninstall will begin
Wait for the uninstall to be completed
Remove USB stick

2. Uninstall the URCap

Go in 

 Robot.

Setup

Tap 

.

URCaps Setup

In the Active URCaps text box, tap the Camera URCaps.
The Camera URCaps should be highlighted.
Tap the minus button ( )  to uninstall the URCaps.

Restart Polyscope to complete the uninstallprocess

3. To update the software package

Turn off the robot controller.
Remove the 16G USB stick and connect it to a PC. 
You will need to format the USB device (using FAT32).
Unzip the latest Vision Server UCC zipped file from 

 on the USB device.

Using another USB stick, unzip the URCap UCC ziped file. 
Turn on the robot controller.
Connect the 16G USB stick in the 4 ports USB hub.
A series of red popups will appear. The vision server is being installed. Wait for the popups to stop before going on to the next step.
Turn off the robot controller.
Turn the robot controller back on.
Connect the USB device containing the URCap file in the teach pendant.
Go in 

 and then in

Setup Robot

URCaps setup

Tap the  sign and choose the .urcap file from the USB device.

Tap 

 to restart PolyScope and finish the update. 

Restart

Uninstall

To uninstall completely, skip step 3 and turn the controller off. You can disconnect the power supply wiring and unplug the USB hub, the Camera's USB
cable, the licence dongle and the 16G USB stick. 

Software update
In order to update the Vision Server and URCap package, you need to uninstall both first before proceeding with the installation.
