The temperature sensor is defective.
Check whether dirt or soot has accumulated at
the temperature sensor and if required clean the
sensor carefully (see Cleaning and Maintenance).

The magnetic switch is defective or jammed.
The air flaps are jammed.
Check whether an object is blocking the air flaps.
