Disposing of or leaving packing material within
reach of children is forbidden, as it may be a poten-
tial source of danger.
Having removed the packaging make sure that what
is supplied is correct and complete and if any discre-
pancies arise, contact the Agency that sold you the
pump.
The circulation pump must be installed by a com-
pany authorised in terms of Ministerial Decree 37
of 2008 and, when the work is complete they must
issue the owner with a declaration of conformity for
the installation done in a workmanlike manner, in
compliance with current standards and the instruc-
tions given in this instruction manual.
We recommend that the installer instruct the user
on how the circulation pump works and on the basic
safety standards.
The circulation pump is to be put to the use inten-
ded by and for which it is speci
fi
cally made. Any
contractual or extra-contractual responsibility on the
part of is excluded for damage to people, animals
or property due to installation, setting or maintenan-
ce errors, and due to incorrect use.
Should water leak from the unit, shut off the water
supply and immediately notify the Technical Assi-
stance Department, or professionally quali
fi
ed per-
sonnel.
If the circulation pump is not to be used for a long
time, at least the following operations must be carri-
ed out:
- Move the main switch for the equipment and the
main switch for the plant to “off”.
- Close the fuel and water taps on the heating sy-
stem.
- Empty the heating and hot water system if there is
a danger of freezing.
This manual and the User’s manual are an integral
part of the equipment and so must always be kept
carefully and must ALWAYS stay with the circulation
pump, even if it is sold to another owner or user, or
transferred to another plant. If it gets damaged or
lost, ask for another copy from the Technical Assi-
stance Department for the Area.
The circulation pump is made in such a way that
the user and installer are protected against possi-
ble accidents. Each time the product is worked on,
be particularly careful of the electrical connections,
especially as regards stripped parts of the conduc-
tors, which must not protrude from the terminal bo-
ard in any way.
Dispose of the packaging material in the appropriate
containers at the relevant waste collection centres.
Waste must be disposed of without endangering
human health and without using procedures or me-
thods that could damage the environment.
• If dangers are encountered due to boiling hot or cold
components on the product / plant, see to providing pro-
tection against contact with these components on the
spot.
• Do not remove the protection against contact with mo-
ving parts (e.g. joint), while the product is running.
• Eliminate any leaks (e.g. shaft seal) involving dange-
rous
fl
uids (explosive, toxic, boiling), thereby avoiding
risks arising for people and the environment. Comply
with current national regulations.
• Keep easily in
fl
ammable materials away from the pro-
duct.
• Prevent any risk resulting from the electricity supply.
Apply and respect all local and general standards [e.
g. IEC etc.] and regulations issued by local electricity
companies.
SAFETY STANDARDS FOR ASSEMBLY AND MAINTE-
NANCE OPERATIONS
The manager is to make sure that assembly and mainte-
nance operations are carried out by authorised, quali
fi
ed
personnel that have read these instructions carefully. All
works that involve the product or the plant, are only to be
carried out with the unit switched off. To stop the product
/ plant it is absolutely essential that the procedure descri-
bed in the assembly, use, and maintenance instructions
be respected. All safety and protective devices must be
applied once again or put back into operation as soon as
the works have been completed.
UNAUTHORISED MODIFICATIONS
Unauthorised modi
fi
cations put the safety of the product /
personnel in jeopardy and render the constructor’s safety
declarations null and void. Any modi
fi
cations to the pro-
duct are only allowed with the constructor’s prior consent.
Accessories authorised by the constructor are an integral
part of the safety of the equipment and the machines. Use
of pirate parts or accessories results in the guarantee lap-
sing for any damage that may occur.
OPERATING CONDITIONS NOT ALLOWED
The pump must not be technically modi
fi
ed or converted.
It is not permitted to open the pump motor by removing the
plastic lid. The operating safety of the product supplied is
only ensured if used correctly for the applications and un-
der the conditions described in the “Field of application”
chapter of this manual. The minimum and maximum va-
lues indicated in the catalogue / data sheet may not be
exceeded for any reason.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
When you receive the product, make sure that the product
itself and the packaging have not suffered any damage
in transit. If any damage due to transportation is found,
launched the necessary procedures with the transporter
within the timescales laid down.
PLEASE NOTE! Danger of damage to people and pro-
perty!
Transportation and storage carried out incorrectly may re-
sult in material damage to the product and injury to people.
• During transportation and storage protect the pump and
the packaging against damp, freezing and mechanical
damage.
• Pliable packaging loses its rigidity and may cause injury
to people should the product fall.
• The pump may be supported, during transportation, only
by means of the pump motor / body. Never support the
terminal board module, cables, or outside condenser.
