2. Digital Video Processing Steps
The analog signal from the contact image sensor is first converted into 8-bit
digital data in the DIP. Then it passes through some digital processes that de-
pend on the selected scanning modes.
The DIP uses a dedicated 8 kB Video SRAM for video processing.
