4.1.20. Software Download (Function 12)

Instead of replacing an EPROM to update the machine’s software, use this
procedure to update the software in the machine’s Flash ROM. 
This function copies software from an external medium to the Flash ROM on
the machine’s FCE. The external medium for the new software can be an
FCE or an EPROM board.

  1. Turn off the machine. 

  2. Insert the Flash/SRAM Copy Tool [A] into the IC card slot [B], then con-

nect the FCE or EPROM board with new software [C] to the opposite side
of the tool.

Note:

  The switch [D] on the tool [A] must be at the ON position.

  3. Turn on the machine.
