4.8.2. REPLACING FOOTREST
Follow the steps below to replace the footrest;
STEP 1: Using a 5mm Allen key, release the 4 screws in the footrest clamps,
see image
15.
STEP 2: Remove footrest from clamps, leaving the clamps on the frame.
STEP 3: Replace NEW footrest in desired position.
STEP 4: Tighten clamps to secure.
WARNING!
To prevent damage and wear of parts, DO NOT over tighten the screws on
the footrest clamps.
4.8.3. ADJUSTING FOOTREST ANGLE
Follow the steps below to adjust the
footrest angle;
STEP 1: Using a 4mm Allen key and a
10mm spanner, release the 2 bolts in the
centre of the footplate,
see image 19
.
STEP 2: Adjust footplate to desired angle.
STEP 3: Tighten bolts to secure.
WARNING!
To prevent damage and wear
of parts, DO NOT over tighten the bolts on
the footplate.
4.9.
ANTI-TIPPER
The following section contains important information regarding the adjustment and
replacement of the anti-tipper.
WARNING!
Ensure anti-tipper is always in place during any form of use. Failure to use anti
tipper could result in death, personal injury or property damage.
4.9.1. ADJUSTING ANTI-TIPPER LENGTH
Follow the steps below to adjust the anti-tipper;
STEP 1: Remove the 2 locking pins.
STEP 2: Adjust anti-tipper to new position.
STEP 3: Insert and engage locking pins,
see
image 20
.
WARNING!
Ensure locking pins are fully engaged
before use. Failure to secure anti tipper, could
result in personal injury or property damage.
WARNING!
DO NOT adjust the Anti-tipper when
seated in the wheelchair.
4.9.2. REPLACING ANTI-TIPPER
Follow the steps below to replace the anti-tipper;
STEP 1: Remove the 2 locking pins.
STEP 2: Pull anti-tipper out from chair, taking note of the position.
STEP 3: Replace with NEW anti-tipper.
