UDP MODE OPERATION
The UDP mode of the SNAP operates similar to the TCP/IP mode when the remotes are acting
as clients. The assignment of IP addresses and/or port numbers to remotes is accomplished using
the same commands as in TCP/IP mode. The UDP commands are identical in function to the
TCP/IP commands but are repeated below.
The main differences between the TCP/IP mode and the “connection-less” UDP mode are that
the remotes can act only as clients and that the handshaking used in TCP/IP is not used in the
UDP protocol. In order to operate the SNAP in UDP mode, the following sequence of commands
must be entered.
