Maintenance
GB30
Minor maintenance
(every two weeks)
You can do minor maintenance on the chair yourself.
Clean your wheelchair with a damp cloth, water and
an all purpose cleaner.
N.B.:
never use abrasive and aggressive cleaners or
solvents (thinners, benzine or similar).
The gas springs and the gas spring block (the
rectangular block at the end of the gas spring) should
be lubricated regularly with, for example, Teflon spray.
This will keep them working properly.
Check that all fastenings are secure. Tighten if
necessary.
N.B.:
overtightening the screws can damage the
wheelchair.
Check the tyre pressure and condition of the tyres
(ageing) regularly. Soft tyres make the wheelchair
more difficult to use as they increase resistance.
Use, if necessary, the valve nipple supplied with the
wheelchair for pumping up the tyres (for example,
when using a bicycle pump). The correct tyre pressure
is shown on the tyres.
Major maintenance
(annual)
Your dealer will be happy to carry out the major
maintenance of your wheelchair. You can then be sure
that you will be getting the best possible use out of
your wheelchair. You should also consult your dealer if
components need replacing.
