Reversed: When the receiver is mounted with the connector to the

that this normalizes the image only and does not affect data output.
Customer Configuration:
o
For nonstandard installations, the XYZ offset of the projector reference
point from the receiver reference point must be defined. For details on
reference points, see
appendix C.6.5 Sounding Reference Point
, and
Figure 78: Sonar Reference Point Definition, sheet 3
CAUTION
Incorrect offset settings could severely affect data quality.
4.2.3.2 Head Tilt
The Head tilt feature allows the user to normalize the display, gates, and bottom detect
processing to reflect the physical orientation of the sonar head. Users often tilt head to
increase coverage to one side, particularly when surveying harbor walls or other vertical
structures.
The angular value is entered in degrees (+ port up/- port down) and must be between -
45° and 45° in increments of 0.5°.
NOTE
EA beams (Minimum Beams mode) are recommended when using head tilt, as ED
beams (Best Coverage mode) are still formed assuming a horizontal seafloor.
For examples on how to use this feature, see
section 6.3.3 Head Tilt
