As soon as the temperature at the collector is 4 °C, the
frost protection function operates the loading circuit bet-
ween the collector and the store in order to protect the
medium in the loading circuit against freezing or coagulation.
If the collector temperature exceeds 5 °C, this function is
switched-off.
The pump output uses maximum pump speed.

This function helps overcome non-ideal sensor position
with some tube collectors and compensates for the delayed
temperature measurement.
This function operates within a given time frame (“start“
and “stop“). It activates the collector circuit pump for 30
seconds (adjustable via the parameter “runtime“) every 30
minutes at collector standstill (adjustable via the parameter
“interval“).
If the collector sensor is defective or if the collector is blo-
cked, this function is suppressed or switched-off.
The collector circuit is operated at minimum pump speed.
Pump speed is controlled according to flow temperature
(to keep the flow temperature constant). Therefore, the
dependence on the temperature difference is released. The
flow set temperature can be adjusted via the adjustment
value “Tflowset“. If the temperature sensor in the flow is
defective, the pump is operated at 100 %.
