11 PARAMETER SETTINGS
11.1 Preface
General information about controller settings can be
found in the relevant Technical Information leaflet. Howe-
ver, some of the most important settings are listed
below.
11.2 Some important parameter settings
The table underneath contains important parameters for
a boiler cascade set-up. For a more detailed description
we refer to the Technical Information of the controller.
Please note: with the exception of parameters 3 – 7
all the settings as mentioned underneath have to be
effectuated with the Master controller.
Parameter
Function
Explanation
3 - 7
Number of Slaves and their
addressee
- the Master controller determines with these parameters how
many Slave controllers have been connected (0 – 4).
- the Slave controllers must have parameter settings F1 for the
first slave, F2 for the second slave, etcetera.
3 - 8
Controller type
- B1: this controller commands an ON-OFF boiler
- B2: this controller commands a 2-stage boiler
- The Master controller can command up to 8 boilers. Positions
not used must be set with: --
Attention: Parameter 5 – 6 settings enable for each boiler to
know which controller has been connected. Thus, the type of
boiler command has to be set at 2 different places.
3 - 9
Minimum modulation
Boiler part load has to be filled out here (2-stage)
5 - 0
Maximum boiler output
Full boiler load must be filled out here.
5 - 1
Group partitions
By creating group partitions, automatic sequence changeover
can be realised, and boilers can be switched off depending on
outside temperature. Boilers in group nr. 1 will always be in
service at full load, therefore condensing boilers are the
preferred boiler type.
5 - 2
Cut-in output of the follow-up
boiler
The following boiler will be switched on when the last boiler
operates at the set percentage as follows:
- ON-OFF boiler: 100 %
- 2-stage boiler: value to be set: 80 %
If a return water sensor is fitted, the controller ensures that the
return water temperature does not fall below set point, by
means of mixing valve activation. The boiler series as specified
below must have the following parameter 5 – 3 settings:
5 - 3
Return temperature control:
minimum boiler temperature or
