OPERATION
This remote is paired with the control module. If this ever requires programming/pairing, refer to this manual to
program/pair the remote control to the ignition control board.

Programming/pairing the remote to the control module
Temperature Unit Selection:
1. Remove the cover from the back of the remote control.
2. Install 3xAAA battery.
3. Reinstall the cover back to the remote control.
4. Use the “UP Button” and “Down Button” to toggle between ᵒC or
ᵒF on the remote display.
5. Wait ~3s for the program to proceed.
6. On the “ROOM TEMP DISPLAY” the temperature unit will appear.
Standby Mode:
The remote control will enter standby mode if no buttons are pressed
within 1 minute. Press the “Power button” once to escape the standby
mode. Active functions will be displayed.
Turning On the System:
1. Press the “Power button” to turn the system ON.
2. “SIGNAL INDICATOR” will momentarily flash and transmit the
command.
3. The system will ignite the pilot.
4. The system will ignite the main burner.

Flame setting is stored in memory. When the system is cycled
from OFF to ON, the main burner will light on high for 10
seconds before returning to the previous flame setting.

If unit selection is not performed after installing the battery, the
program will automatically proceed forward after ~3s with the
default temperature unit.
Adjusting Flame Height:
1. Press the “Flame Button” to control the flame height.
2. “FLAME HEIGHT” will flash on the remote display.
3. Use the “Flame Button” to select the flame height between 1 (min)
to 5 (max).
a. “UP Button” & “Down Button” can also be used for selection.
4. Wait ~1s for the command to transmit.
5. “SIGNAL INDICATOR” will momentarily flash and transmit the
command.
Adjusting Fan Speed:
1. Press the “Fan Button” to control the fan speed.
2. “FAN SPEED” will flash on the remote display.
3. Use the “Fan Button” to select the fan speed between 0 (OFF)
to 3 (max). “UP Button” & “Down Button” can also be used for
selection.
4. Wait ~1s for the command to transmit.
5. “SIGNAL INDICATOR” will momentarily flash and transmit the
command.
Automatic Flame Control (Thermostat/Timer):
During automatic flame control, the flame height control on the
“Flame Button” is disabled. To reenable the flame height control the
automatic flame control needs to be disabled.
Adjusting Thermostat:
1. Press the “Thermostat / Timer Button” once to start the
thermostatic function.
2. “SET ICON” and a value on the “TIMER/T-STAT DISPLAY” will flash
on the remote.
3. Select the desired temperature between 45ᵒF to 90ᵒF (7ᵒC to
35ᵒC) by pressing the “Up Button” or “Down Button”.
4. Wait ~1s for the command to transmit.
5. “SIGNAL INDICATOR” will momentarily flash and transmit the
command.
6. “SET ICON” with the selected value on the “Timer/T-STAT Display”
will remain displayed.

If the Timer was set prior to the Thermostat, the “TIMER/
T-STAT DISPLAY” on the remote control will toggle the
display between the Thermostat temperature and the
remaining time on the timer.
•
If the Thermostat has been set and needs to be changed,
the Thermostat can be changed by the “UP Button” or
“Down Button” when the “TIMER/T-STAT DISPLAY” has
the “SET ICON” displayed.
Adjusting Timer:
1. Press the “Thermostat / Timer Button” twice to start the timer
function.
2. “TIMER ICON” and a value on the “TIMER/T-STAT DISPLAY” will
flash on the remote.
3. Select the desired timer setting between 15 to 180 minutes in 15
minutes increments by pressing the “Up Button” or “Down Button”.
4. Wait ~1s for the command to transmit.
5. “SIGNAL INDICATOR” will momentarily flash and transmit the
command.
6. “TIMER ICON” with the selected value on the “Timer/T-STAT
Display” will remain displayed.

If the Thermostat was set prior to the Timer, the “TIMER/
T-STAT DISPLAY” on the remote control will toggle the
display between the Thermostat temperature and the
remaining time on the timer.

If the Timer has been set and needs to be changed, the
timer can be changed by the “UP Button” or “Down Button”
when the “TIMER/T-STAT DISPLAY” has the “TIMER ICON”
displayed.
