c) Switching on/off
When the rechargeable batteries are charged or when new batteries are inserted, for test purposes, switch the
transmitter on via the function switch (see figure 1, pos. 5).
The LED in the LED display (see figure 1, pos. 10) indicate the sufficient power supply of the transmitter.
If the power supply is not sufficient any more for a faultless operation, the green LED switches off. In this case, you
should stop operating your model as quickly as possible.
With a voltage of less than 7.0V, the yellow LED switches off. For further operation of the transmitter the rechargeab-
le batteries must be recharged (switch off the transmitter first) or new batteries must be inserted.
The plug-in power supply unit contained in the delivery is NOT suitable for charging the rechar-
geable batteries in the transmitter! It is meant to be connected to the charge adaptor/balancer
only and hence to charge the flight battery contained in the delivery.
9. Operating the model helicopter
a) Charging the flight battery
The dual-cell flight accumulator (1) is charged using the supplied plug-type power pack () and the LiPo charger
(3).
When charging, always remove the battery from the model in order to prevent a shape distortion of the plastic
parts in case of a potential development of heat.
First connect the power pack to the right side of the LiPo charger (4).
You can connect your charger optionally using a battery operated with 1V/DC. The capacity of the battery has
to be at least 5 Ah.
Observe when connecting to 12 V/DC always the correct polarity of the connecting cable (2): red
= plus (+); black = minus (-).
The plug of the 3-pole accumulator cable (protected against wrong polarity) is connected to the left of the LiPo
charger.
The -pole connection cable with the BEC plug is not required for charging. Later on, you connect the accumulator
to the model with this cable.
