10. Programming the Speed Controller
a) Programming of Neutral and Full Throttle Positions
For programming the neutral and full throttle positions for forward/reverse driving, proceed as follows:
• Switch on the transmitter, but leave the throttle/brake in the neutral position. Put the trimming controls for driving into
the centre position.
• Keep the setup button pressed and turn the speed controller on.
• When the red LED flashes, release the setup button at once.
If you do not release the setup button once the red LED flashes,
the programming mode is activated. In this case, switch off the
speed controller and proceed again as described above.
• Move the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter into neutral position if you
have not already done so.
• Briefly press the setup button. The green LED flashes once. Depending
on the motor used, a beep can be heard.
The beep tone is generated because the brushless motor is activated for a moment. Depending on the
motor, this beep may be very low or inaudible. In this case, observe the LED on the speed controller.
• Move the throttle/brake lever to full throttle for forwards driving.
Attention!
If you do not move the transmitter throttle lever during the programming process or do not move it far
enough, the vehicle might respond to even slight movements of the transmitter throttle lever or become
uncontrollable. In that case, repeat programming.
• Briefly press the setup button. The green LED flashes twice. Depending on the motor, two beeps can be heard.
• Move the throttle/brake lever to full throttle for reverse driving.
• Briefly press the setup button. The green LED flashes three times. Depending on the motor, three beeps can be
heard.
• Put the gas/brake back into neutral position
• Now wait for at least 3 seconds so that the programming can be saved. The speed controller is then ready for use,
programming of the full throttle setting for forwards / reverse driving and neutral position are stored.
