other, generally recognized safety-technical

rules must also be adhered to.

•  The machine may only be used, maintained

and operated by persons familiar with it and

instructed in its operation and procedures.

Arbitrary alterations to the machine release

the manufacturer from all responsibility for

any resulting damage.

•  The machine may only be used with original

accessories and original tools from the

manufacturer.

•  Any other use exceeds authorization. The

manufacturer is not responsible for any

damages resulting from unauthorized use;

risk is the sole responsibility of the operator.

Residual risks

The machine has been built using modern

technology in accordance with recognized

safety rules. Some hazards, however, may

still exist.

•

Injuries on fingers and hands caused by the

running tool in case of incorrect guiding of

the work piece.

•

Health hazards through steel chips. It is

imperative to wear personal protective gear

like goggles.

•

Injuries through defective cutting off wheel.

Regularly check the cutting off wheel for any

defects.

•

Health hazards for fingers and hands when

changing the cutting off wheel. Wear proper

working gloves.

•

Health hazards when switching on the ma

-

chine through the starting cutting off wheel.

•

Risks through electric current if defective

electric connection cables are used.

•

Health hazards through the running cutting

off wheel with long hair and loose clothing.

Wear personal protective gear like a hair net

und closely fitting clothes.

•

Even when all safety measures are taken,

some remaining hazards which are not yet

evident may still be present.

•

Remaining hazards can be minimized by

following the instructions in „Safety pre

-

cautions„, „Proper use„, and in the entire

operating manual

Commissioning

•  Know the machine. Learn its applications

and limitations, as well as the specific

potential hazards.

•  Check for damage if part of the machine is

damaged, it should be carefully inspected

to ensure that it can perform its intended

function correctly. If in doubt, the part should

be replaced.

•  Be sure the switch is OFF before plugging In.

•  Make sure tool has been cleaned and

properly lubricated.

•  Check for damaged parts. Before using any

tool, any part that appears damaged should

be carefully checked to determine that it will

operate properly and perform its intended

function.

•  Check for alignment and binding of all

moving parts, broken parts or mounting

fixtures and any other condition that may

affect proper operation. Any part that is

damaged should be properly repaired or

replaced by a qualified technician.

•  Do not use the tool if any switch does not

turn off and on properly.

•  Never force the tool or attachment to do the

work of a larger industrial tool. It is designed

to do the job better and more at the rate for

which it was intended.

•  Always unplug the cord by the plug. Never

yank the cord out of the wall.

•  Always turn off the machine before

unplugging.

•  With normal use, the motor housing may get

hot.

•  Make all adjustments to the machine with the

power OFF.

•  Never leave the cutting off wheel saw

unattended while it is running.

•  When turning off the machine, never leave

the cutting off wheel saw until it has come to

a complete stop.

•  Make every effort to prevent snagging

by exercising special care when working

corners, sharp edges, ragged welds, etc.

•  Do not use a cutting off wheel that is not in

accordance with specified sizes.

•  Never carry the tool by the cord.

•  Don’t pour water or coolant on cutting off

wheel when cutting.

•  Make sure to secure cutting material so it

does not move during operation.

•  Cutting material can get extremely hot during

operation.

If there is any question about a condition

about a condition being safe or unsafe, do not

operate the tool.

Setting the depth stop (see Fig. 8)

The downward movement of the machine can

be adjusted through the depth gauge (E).

To compensate the wear of the disc a sub

-

sequent adjustment of the cutting depth is

possible.

Loosen the lock nut (F).

Set the depth stop (E) accordingly.

Lower the machine head and check whether

there is enough distance between the blade

and fixed jaw (7).

Tighten the lock nut (F) tightly.

Operating instructions

•

The cutting disc should be fitted perfect

-

ly and should turn freely. Have a trial run

without any load for 1 minute at least. Do not

use a disc that is damaged, non-circular or

vibrating.

•

Set up the depth stop (see Setting the depth

stop) properly. If the stop is not set up cor

-

rectly, the disc may cut the surface under the

base plate.
