Additional Safety
Devices
Real Carriage Door and Sliding Hardware is proud
to be able to offer extra safety devices to meet the
demands of your project. Each device is different
and is suited for different applications and will
need to be special ordered. The manufacturer of
the openers will need to work with us directly to
pick which option fits your specific application.
Examples of these extra safety devices include exit
probes, mag locks, electronic drop pins, and safety
loops.
We do not provide instructions for these extra
safety devices and will need to be sourced
directly from manufacturer. There may need to be
additional programming done to the control board,
please confirm before the doors are used for safety
purposes.
• This may include having the doors simply stop
when the photo eyes are triggered instead of
reverse. Once the beam is cleared the doors
will then continue to open or reverse to open.
To do this you would set SAFE2 as 000 (if using
terminals 70 + 74).
Battery Backup
1. Secure the
battery
housing to
solid blocking
using screws
or lag bolts
(not provided)
• Make sure the
power is OFF
to the circuit
being worked on
• Punch holes through
the bottom to run the
cables
2. On right side of
control board, plug in
the one set of wires
with coresponding
receptacle
• Follow diagram below to wire in remaining
wires
• Black and brown wires are placed into the top
terminal
• Blue and red wires are placed into bottom
terminal
3. Run cables through the housing and secure
with cord clips
