Checking the placement of the lock housing

Cut the square pin to the correct length
as per the mark.
Make sure the cut is at a right angle.
Smooth off the cut face with a suitable
tool.

After cutting, check with the gauge
again. The end of the square pin should
be between the inner and outer edges of
the gauge.
If the end of the square pin sticks out
from the outer edge of the gauge, the
lock will stick.
