Pausing and Advancing one Frame at the
Time
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE once to pause DVD or CD playback. The audio will
mute and if the player is paused for five minutes, it will stop automatically.
2. Each press of the F.ADV button advances the DVD picture one frame at a
time. Audio is muted and you can only operate in the forward direction.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.
Playing in Slow Motion
While a DVD disc is paused, you can start forward slow motion playback from
either the remote or the front panel.
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE to pause playback.
2. Press and release FORWARD (>>) for forward slow motion playback.
Repeatedly press and release the button to increase the speed from 1/8 to
1/4 to 1/2 speed.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal playback.
Searching Through a Disc
While a DVD disc is playing, you can visually search forward and backward at
variable speeds. You can do this by using either the remote or the front panel.
1. During playback, press and hold the REWIND (<<) or FORWARD (>>)
button on the remote or front panel to cycle backwards or forwards
through speeds from normal playback to 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X, and 128X.
2. When you find the speed you want, release the button.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE to resume normal speed.
