accessories. To remove the
lens hood, put your hand flat
against the lens hood and turn
it counterclockwise. Do not
grasp the end of the lens hood.
Attaching the Shoulder Strap
Removing the Lens Hood
Caution: When carrying the camcorder with the shoulder strap, you may find it
convenient to rotate the electronic viewfinder to the front. This helps prevent
possible damage to the viewfinder from bumping against your body as you move.
The shoulder strap packed with your camcorder is designed to let you carry the
camcorder from your shoulder and–when you are ready to shoot–bring the
camcorder to shooting position in one quick movement.
To Attach the Shoulder Strap
1. Unfasten one end of the shoulder strap
from the buckle. Make sure you leave
the buckle on the strap.
2. Thread one end of the shoulder strap
through one of the shoulder strap
attachment rings as shown below.
3. Thread the strap back into the buckle.
Pull on the strap and make sure it is
securely fastened before using the
shoulder strap to support the
camcorder.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other end of
the shoulder strap.
