Clearing Your Password
If you want to turn the password off so all discs can be viewed:
1. If a disc is playing, press STOP and MENU (the menu appears).
2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the Password option. Press OK. The password choices appear on the right.
3. Highlight the Clear Password option and press OK (the Enter Password box appears).
4. Enter your password, and press OK. The password feature is now turned off.
Setting the Rating
Rated Titles
The Rating option lets you determine how your player reacts to discs that contain movies that are rated (in the USA, the Motion
Pictures Association of America (MPAA) rates movies as G, PG, PG-13, etc).
You decide which ratings require a password and which ones don’t. This system ranks the ratings from 1 through 8 in order to
accommodate different countries’ ratings systems (1 is considered a movie title with the least offensive material).
In order for the Rating Level feature to work, the disc must be encoded with rating information. If the author of the disc did not
encode rating information, then this feature will not work for that disc.
The DVD Player must be locked (password protected) in order for it to enforce the settings in the Rating menu.
