5.2 GSE sensor
If a sensor for the GSE 30/GSE 60 boundary spreading unit is connected and activated, the GSE icon
is shown on the display of the control unit when the boundary spreading unit is hydraulically moved
into its operating position; see
Fig. 3 Control unit display – example AXIS-M operating screen . If the
boundary spreading unit is moved back to the idle position, the GSE icon is hidden again.
During adjustments, a ? symbol is displayed on the machine control unit display, which disappears
once the working position is reached. The sensor monitors the position of the GSE boundary
spreading unit. If the status of the boundary spreading unit cannot be detected for more than 5
seconds, alarm message 94 will be displayed; see

5.3 Working with sections
5.3.1 Spreading with reduced sections
You can spread fertilizer to sections on one or both sides, to adapt the full spreading width to the field
requirements. Each spreading side can be adjusted in 4 preset sections (VariSpread 8) or infinitely
variable sections (VariSpread pro).

• Press the L%/R% key until the desired function keys are displayed.

Each section can be reduced or increased in 4 steps or continuously.
