Maintenance, storage and disposal

The product does not require regular maintenance. It only requires occasional clean-
ing. It is however advisable to check the nominal data from time to time.

13.1

Cleaning

The R&S

QAR50 and its accessories are sensitive devices. Clean the R&S

QAR50 in

an appropriate manner to prevent the components from getting damaged.

Cleaning the R&S

QAR50

1. Clean the measurement electronics (cluster and calibration sphere) only if neces-

sary (visible dirt particles). If cleaning these parts becomes necessary, do so care-
fully with a dry, lint-free duster.
Do not use liquids to clean the measurement electronics. Using liquids can lead to
inaccurate measurements.

2. Clean the frame and rear side of the R&S

QAR50 with a lint

free duster. For stub-

born dirt, you can also wipe the frame and rear side with a damp rag.

3. We recommend not to clean the absorbers, because they can break easily. If the

absorbers become too dirty, contact Rohde

&

Schwarz service to replace them with

new ones.

Cleaning the verification kit

► Clean the verification kit with a soft, lint-free dust cloth. If necessary, you can

dampen the cloth.
Do not use chemical cleaning agents or solvents like alcohol or cellulose lacquer
thinners.

13.2

Storage

Protect the product against dust. Ensure that the environmental conditions, e.g. tem-
perature range and climatic load, meet the values specified in the data sheet.

13.3

Disposal

Rohde

Schwarz is committed to making careful, ecologically sound use of natural

resources and minimizing the environmental footprint of our products. Help us by dis-
posing of waste in a way that causes minimum environmental impact.
