2. Ensure that the R&S

NRP Toolkit for Windows is installed on the computer. See

Chapter 5.1, "R&S

NRP Toolkit"

on page 20.

To update the firmware

A firmware update can take up to 5

minutes. Ensure that the update is not interrupted.

1. Ensure that the prerequisites are fulfilled. See

"To check the prerequisites"

on page 28.

2. Connect the power sensor to the computer as described in

Chapter 3.7.1, "Com-

puter"

on page 14.

3. Start the Firmware Update for NRP Family program:

"Start" menu

> "NRP-Toolkit"

> "Firmware Update".

The program automatically starts scanning for R&S

power sensors connected via

USB.
When the scan is completed, all recognized power sensors are listed under
"Device".

4. If the power sensor you want to update is not listed, perform one of the following

actions:

a) Click "Rescan" to search for attached power sensors.
b) Check whether all necessary drivers are installed on the computer.

For example, if the VISA library is not installed on the computer, no VISA power
sensor is accessible.

5. Under "Device", select the power sensor you want to update.

Note:

The "Hostname, IP Address or Serial Port" field is not used during this pro-

cedure. Therefore, leave it empty.

6. Under "Firmware", enter the full path and filename of the update file, or press the

browse button next to the field.

7. Click "Update".
