Safety Features

Accidental Firing

The tool is designed to prevent accidental firing.
By compressing the tool against the work surface
the firing mechanism is cocked. Only then can the
firing pin be released via the trigger mechanism to
detonate the power load.

Jab Firing Protection

To prevent Jab Firing of the tool, the trigger sear
arm which releases the firing pin is so designed
that it rotates away from the firing mechanism if
a Jab Fire situation is evident, thus preventing the
unintentional detonation of the power load.

Spall Shield

A Spall Shield is provided for easy assembly on
the muzzle end of the tool when Spall protection
is required.

Outer Housing

The outer housing is made using a tough
impact resistant material with low thermal transfer
properties. This minimises the risk of damage if
tool is accidentally dropped and lowers the body
temperature during operation.

Indexing Power Load Strip

The spent power load is removed from the
tool’s chamber semi-automatically as part of the
opening and closing sequence. The opening of
the tool resets the charge index lever and the strip
is lifted by the closing of the tool, bringing a fresh
charge to the chamber.

Double Index Control –

If the tool is closed

SLOWLY, subsequent opening and closing cycles
will not index the fresh charge away from the
chamber. Subsequent firing of the tool will reset
the charge index lever and permit spent charge
removal.

Power Load Strip Removal –

If you need

to remove the strip from the tool for safety
purposes, simply pull the strip by the pointed tab
at the top free from tool body. Ensure partially
used strips are placed in a suitable location to
prevent access by unauthorized persons.
