8.1. Cleaning the air filter. Do not use the pump with dirty air filter. The dust and small particles that
can suck the engine will shorten its operational life. Unscrewed nut to cover the air filter and washers
and remove the lid of the filter. Remove the air filter. Clean the filter with non-flammable solvent or
with such a high flash point and allow to dry completely after cleaning. Do not clean the air filter with
flammable liquids, may occur because of fire or explosion under certain conditions. Insert the air filter
back into place. Replace the washer and the lid of the filter and screw the nut.
8.2. Keeping the spark plug.
To ensure normal operation of the engine, the spark plug must have adequate distance between
the electrodes and must be cleaned of deposits. Remove the “pipe” of the candle, and pull the handle
on the top and end. Under no circumstances remove “pipe” with the tug of the cord. Muffler can be
very hot if the engine was working. Be careful not to touch the exhaust pipe. With the aid of keys to
unwrap the candle and unscrewed the spark plug. Visually check the spark plug. Dispose of the
candle if it is apparent insulation is worn or broken or cracked. “Check and sealing O-ring. If the
candle is in excellent condition and clean it with a brush and Screw it back into the cylinder head.
Screwing in a new spark plug, tighten an additional 1/2 turn after the spark plug up and pressed
O-rings. Make sure the candle is properly tightened. Improper tightening may cause overheating of
the engine and its failure.
9. Transport and storage.
To avoid risk of fire engines have to wait to cool before being transported to the pump.
9.1. Make sure that the storage is not wet or dusty.
9.2. Clean the inside of the pump. The pump can be blocked, if used to drain water containing
soil, sand or heavier particles. Before harvesting and storage, clean the pump by suction of pure
water. After cleaning, unscrew the stopper for the drain water and drain it. Then Screw stopper for
draining. Drain water from the pump is required for storage at low temperatures and will protect her
from serious injury.
9.3. To keep the engine in a planned longer stay. Unscrewed the spark plug, pour one tablespoon
pure motor oil in the cylinder, turn the engine several times to even distribution of oil and then screw
spark plug again.
