Tighten the locking knob (Fig.6).
NOTE:
The assist handle mounting bracket can be slid up or down the telescoping
tube, rotated from side to side or tilted forward or backward to place the assist
handle in the most comfortable position. Turn locking lever(1) before adjusting the
assist handle position and retighten it to lock the assist handle in the new position.
SETTING THE TRIMMING GUIDE
The trimming guide is used to protect the trimmer line when trimming close to
objects such as fence posts, fences, decks etc.
To position the trimming guide (1), simply pull it down to its horizontal position (2)
(Fig. 8). When the trimming guide is not being used, it should be placed in its
upright position.

Rotate the telescoping shaft locking collar (1) clockwise one turn (Fig. 7).
Slide the lower section of the telescoping shaft (2) in or out until the desired
shaft length is achieved.
NOTE:
The shaft length can be adjusted approximately 12” (30.5 cm).
Turn the locking collar counterclockwise to lock the telescoping shaft at the
desired length.
NOTE:
Hand tighten the locking collar.
The telescoping shaft length can be adjusted to suit the height of the person
operating the tool.
