2.4 DISPLAY
RSI carried out extensive experimentation to determine the best
display to use. The final unit selected is a trans-reflective LED
color display. Extensive Field testing showed that a BLACK
background with white numbers showed absolutely
AUTOMATICALLY to a MONOCHROME mode for external
bright sunlight usage. This combination of color balance and
light sensor gives excellent readability under all light conditions.
NOTE:
About 3 seconds after
the units’
Title Screen
appears
the display changes to the
SURVEY MODE.
2.5 EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS
PC Connection
: Connect the supplied USB cable to the computer and connect the mini USB connector to
the device.
Power & Charging
: Connect the supplied power cord (U.S. or EURO) to the Power plug on the device.
This will also charge the internal battery.
2.6 CONNECTIVITY
There are 3 ways to connect a unit to a PC for Data Transfer, Parameter change or Remote operation:
a) USB
– supports all 3 functions
b) WiFi - supports all 3 functions
Bluetooth (future)
– used for covert audio connection
