
REAR FACING
LAP BELT ONLY
•
Figure A illustrates a rear-facing, lap-
belt installation.
•
When not in use, lower connectors
MUST be stored by connecting them
together and tightening the strap
against the back of the child restraint
shell.
1. Recline the child restraint by using
the alignment sticker located on both
sides of the child restraint, align the
black line parallel to the ground.
(Fig.
B).
This child restraint MUST be in the
recline position when installed rear-
facing.
2. Lift the cover to open the rear facing
belt guide farthest from where the
vehicle belt will be buckled
(Fig. C).
3. Pull the vehicle belt out, then route
the lap belt across the child restraint
passing through the rear facing belt
path.
(Fig. D).

The lap belt MUST be routed under
cover and passed through the rear
facing belt guides on both sides.
IMPORTANT:
The vehicle belt MUST rest
behind the child restraint buckle strap.
4. Verify that the vehicle belt is not
twisted, position the lap belt through
the rear facing belt guides, then
buckle (Fig. E).
5. Push the child restraint firmly into the
vehicle seat while removing slack
from the vehicle belt.
