REAR FACING
LATCH ONLY
•
Figure A illustrates a rear-facing lower
LATCH installation.
•
Verify that your vehicle is equipped
with LATCH anchors. If LATCH anchors
are not available, you MUST use the
vehicle belt installation methods or
use an alternative seating location.
1. Press and hold the lower connector
strap adjuster release button, then pull
the lower connector strap to full length.
2. Place the child restraint in the rear-
facing position on the vehicle seat.
Recline the child restraint by using the
alignment sticker located on both
sides of the restraint. Align the black
line parallel to the ground

).

This child restraint MUST be in the
reclined position when installed rear
facing.
3. Attach one lower connector to its
adjacent vehicle LATCH
anchor (Fig
.
C)
.
•
The lower connector MUST be attached
over the LATCH anchor.
•
Pull on the connector to confirm
attachment. A
click
confirms the
LATCH is secured.
TIP:
You may need to turn the front of the
child restraint toward you for easier access
to the vehicle LATCH anchor.
4. Route the lower connector strap across
the child restraint passing through the
rear facing belt path.

The lower connector strap MUST be
routed under cover and passed through
the rear facing belt guides on both
sides.
