SECTION 4

MAINTENANCE

4.1 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

When the receiver is operational, removing the top panel will expose

lethal voltages on the line voltage selector.
Use insulated tools for any type of adjustment and do not touch any
internal component with the unit switched on.

Ensure that the unit is disconnected from all sources of power before
carrying out any inspection or maintenance work.

MAINTENANCE LEVEL 1

4.2 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

The only routine maintenance required by the RXRL-NV is the periodic

replacement of the cooling fan and the removal of accumulated dust.
The period between such action will depend on ambient operating
conditions such as temperature, air-borne dust levels and humidity.
It is advisable to check the unit every 6 months and to replace noisy
or worn fans.
Fans should be replaced as a metter of course after no more than 18 months
of operation.

MAINTENANCE LEVEL 2

4.3 CPU REPLACEMENT

1)

Open the top cover of the unit.

2)

Disconnect connectors CN1 and CN1 that connect the CPU to the P.L.L.
card and the RS232 C connector, respectively.

3)

Undo the screws holoding the front panel in place.

4)

Undo the nuts holding the front panel switches in place and remove
the CPU.

5)

Remove the card with great care.
