INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
3.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter contains the information required to install the
RXRL- NV and carry out preliminary checks.
3.2 UNPACKING
Remove the unit from its packing and, before anything else, ensure
that the unit has not suffered any damage during transit and that all
front and rear panel controls are operational.
3.3 INSTALLATION
To install the RXRL-NV receiver, carry out the following procedure:
1) This receiver is able to operate from 4 different supply voltages:
100, 120, 220 or 240Vac, at 50-60Hz.
First of all select the correct supply voltage using the selector
situated on the rear panel; use a screwdriver to raise the cover
(2 Fig.2) on which are written the various voltages, rotate it until
the arrow points to the correct voltage and re-insert it.
Check that a fuse is fitted to the cover and that its value
corresponds to the following:
220-240Vac 1A
100-120Vac 2A
2) Ensure that the antenna is correctly fitted to the R.F. input
(11 Fig.2) situated on the receiver’s rear panel.
3) Switch the power switch (24 Fig.1) to the OFF position.
4) Connect power to the unit via the VDE socket (1 Fig.2).
NOTE: It is essential that the unit be properly earthed to ensure both
the safety of the operator as well as the correct functioning of the
equipment.
5) Switch the power switch to the ON position and check that the green
POWER ON led (23 Fig.1), and the green led corresponding to the
parameter selection SIGNAL (8 Fig.1), are both lit.
After a few seconds the frequency display (22 Fig.1) will come on
and display a number (eg. 760.00) corresponding to the last
