Precautions!

If this is your first PNOscan II installation it is highly recommended that you read through the manual
before beginning the installation.

If this PNOscan II system will only be used with a computer you will NOT need a power adapter. Power to
the system is supplied by the computer.  You WILL need a cable to connect PNOscan II to the computer.
See the Accessories list on page 3.

If you’re installing this kit into an upright piano, check that you have upright conversion parts.

Look for the * (QTY column) in the parts list on page 6.

It’s very important that the bottoms of the keys are light in color with no paint stains.  And, that the sides
of the keys, in the area of the sensors,  are colored black. See “Preparing the Keys”, on page 16.

The installation is NOT complete, and the system will not work correctly, until the Keyboard and Pedal
Setup procedures are performed.

See page 21 for details.

If installing a Version 45 TUSB for use with the QRS Sound Module...

DO NOT CONNECT A POWER ADAPTER TO THE POWER INPUT OF THE TUSB. Power to the TUSB is supplied
by the QRS Sound Module via the Serial I/O port.  See page 25.
