Note
: It is possible to switch the language of the installed software later using the File
menu.
Software installation
:
1.
To start the actual installation procedure, select the
Install QIAxcel ScreenGel Software
option.
Note
: To read the user manual in the selected language, select the
User Manual
option.
2.
The
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x 86 Redistributable
will be installed if it is not yet installed.
In this case, a dialog opens. Accept the license agreement and click
Install
. Click
Finish
to
complete the installation of this package. If you cancel or close the dialog before
completing the installation, the QIAxcel ScreenGel software will not be able to operate.
3.
The appropriate version of the
Microsoft .NET
Framework will be installed or updated at
the beginning of the QIAxcel ScreenGel setup, if it is not yet installed. In this case, another
dialog opens. Follow the steps to complete the installation of this package. If you cancel
or close the dialog, the QIAxcel ScreenGel will not be able to operate.
4.
Depending on the installed software packages from the step above, a computer restart
might be required before proceeding with the setup. After the restart, the installation
procedure resumes automatically.
5.
The QIAxcel ScreenGel setup wizard opens. Click
Next
.
6.
Accept the license agreement and click
Next
.
7.
Select the program installation path. The default path is
C:\Program Files
(x86)\QIAGEN\QIAxcel ScreenGel 2.0\
. Click
Next
.
Note
: If C:\Program Files (x86)\QIAGEN\QIAxcel ScreenGel 2.0\ is selected on a
Windows 64 bit system, the installation will appear in
C:\Program
Files\x86\QIAGEN\QIAxcel\ScreenGel
.
8.
Select the data path for acquired data and all other application data. The default path is
C:\ProgramData\QIAGEN\QIAxcel\ScreenGel 2.0\
. Click
Next
